Blacks Struggle with Impulse Control and Violence

Black TN state representative physically attacks a White one after a vote doesn’t go his way.

He has to be restrained by 4 guards, but there will be no consequences for his behavior.

According to the FBI’s crime statistics going back decades, Black people represent 13% of the US population, yet they commit over 50% of the violent crimes.

Based on 2022 data, a more accurate shorthand might be “13/60” for homicide offending—13.6% of the population (Black Americans) committing 60.4% of known murders. However, narrowing to young Black males (est. 2–3% of the population), the rate becomes even more concentrated, potentially “3/60,” though this requires more granular data not fully detailed in the FBI tables.
