Matt completely knocks it out of the park with this one. “Dark Woke” is an attempt to apply a formula. It completely lacks authenticity.

This perfectly exemplifies the failure of the Left to understand the Right. They see success but don’t understand it and are trying to immitate it, like someone who thinks that if they add an earring or talk with an edgy attitude, they will be cool.

No, Democrats will not become popular by immitating Donald Trump’s crass, insulting attiude. People don’t like Trump because he is crass. They like him because THAT’S WHO HE IS, and he doesn’t change and put on a phony act and pretend to be something he’s not.

It’s about being authentic. And that is a problem for the Left because as Matt correctly summarizes:

The Right says the things that everybody believes—but you’re not supposed to say.

The Left says the things that NOBODY believes—but you ARE supposed to say.

It is impossible to be authentic in that situation. “Dark Woke” fails beacuase using profanity is a poor substitute for authenticity. The true appeal is honesty.

Critical thinking requires evidence and challenging assumptions.

Thinking critically takes more work than believing a story at face value, but it is the only way to determine truth from lies.

The ability to discern truth from lies has always been important, but in the age of fifth generational warfare, this skill becomes a shield to protect one’s own mind from attack and control.
